Frameset
All models feature the same top flight carbon Ripley 4 frameset from IBIS with Fox Performance DPS EVOL rear shock. UPGRADE: You can upgrade rear shock to Fox's range topping Factory model which gains the Kashima coated stanchion and air sleeve as well as upgraded damper internals.
Fork
Standard spec is super high with a Fox Float 34 Performance fork with the latest Grip Damper in 130mm travel guise. UPGRADES: The Ripley is such a flexible model that bridges XC and Trail that you could build it up with a 140mm fork which is a popular option with many rider's. You can upgrade this fork to Fox's range topping Factory 34 Float FIT4 version which gains the Kashima coated stanchions and FIT4 damper.
Drivetrain
On this Sram model we are featuring the latest 12 speed 1x Eagle Drivetrains from Sram. These are complete drivetrains, no cheaper cassettes, chains or BB's used to get the price down. We offer GX Eagle, GX AXS Eagle (wireless XO1 Eagle AXS shifter and rear mech with GX cassette and cranks), XO1 Eagle, XX1 Eagle, XO1 AXS Eagle and XX1 AXS Eagle. AXS is the amazing wireless electronic shifting and includes all necessary chargers and batteries.
Brakes
Sram brakes match with Sram drivetrains really well and integrate very neatly. We also really like and rate the Shimano brakes and know many rider's have a preference for one brand or another so we offer the 2-pot Shimano offerings which IBIS spec as standard. We feel these offer more than enough power to suit this bike whilst maintaing it's low weight. If you would prefer the 4-pot offerings please feel free to contact us but we feel that if you need 4-pot brakes you possibly should be looking at the Ripmo rather than the Ripley but hey, we'll build you what you want either way.
Wheels
All rims used provide the 35mm inner rim width which IBIS pioneered and we feel they offer the correct ride characteristics that IBIS aim for with this model. All wheels, except Hope Fortus, are fully handbuilt by our resident DT Swiss certified master wheelebuilder. If you want a different spec please give us a call.
Hope Fortus 35W Hope Pro4 hubs on Hope's latest generation rim with 35mm internal diameter. Quite often a first upgrade to an 'off the shelf' bike we skip the basic wheels and give the Ripley some whels it deserves from the get go.
Hope Pro4 hubs on RaceFace AR Offset rims built with Sapim Race double butted black spokes and Sapim brass nipples. Handbuilt quality and a great rim.
Hope Pro4 hubs on RaceFace ARC Offset rims built with Sapim D-Light double butted black spokes and Sapim black double square alloy nipples. Lighter weight rim than RF AR Offset, spokes and nipples but every bit as strong.
Industry Nine 101 hubs on RaceFace ARC Offset built with Sapim D-Light double butted black spokes and Sapim black double square alloy nipples.
Ibis S35 Carbon Logo wheelset -Ibis' own carbon rim built onto Ibis logo hubs, a really decent quality hub on a top quality carbon rim

Tyres
Ibis spec their Ripley's with Schwalbe Nobby Nic tyres but we find UK customers far prefer Maxxis so we are offering the following options:
Maxxis Rekon A great all rounder tyre with plenty of grip and fast rolling. We spec the 3C MaxxTerra 2.60 WT versions not cheaper OE versions.
Maxxis Assegai 2.50" WT - Greg Minaar's signature tyre, superb all round grip and fairly fast rolling considering the amount of grip on offer.
Maxxis Minion - The perennial favourite for aggressive riding when huge amounts of grip are are the order of the day. We spec the Minion DHF 2.50 WT MaxxGrip front and Minion DHRII 2.40WT Maxx Terra rear
Handlebar
We offer bars which we really rate for shape and feel as well as just weight or price.
RaceFace Chester35 - Standard spec is this smart and good value bar from a brand you can trust featuring a 20mm rise in a 780mm width which weighs 400gr.
RaceFace Turbine R - A little wider at 800mm but a top quality alloy handlebar at 300gr (colours available so if you want something other than black please leave a comment at the checkout along with any other notes).
RaceFace Next R Carbon - Top flight carbon handlebar at only 215gr and in colours too.
Deity Skywire Carbon - We love Deity bars, they always have the nicest ride feel, something they pride themselves on so much they took nearly 3 years to get their 35mm carbon bars feeling as good as their 31.8mm bars before releasing them to consumers which really isn't normal in the bike world. 222gr light
OneUp Carbon Bar - OneUp have really shaken up the industry with their innovative parts such as steerer integrated tools and superb mciro chainguides. Their new carbon handlebar is equally innovative with a quite radical ovalised shape to tune in compliance and comfort not found in many other bars (if any). 800mm with 20mm rise. 220gr Worth pairing with their EDC Stem.
Stem
RaceFace Chester 35 - A great value entry level stem with great looks and only 160gr - Will come in 40mm length unless 50mm requested in notes.
RaceFace Turbine R - Lovely top end machined alloy stem in a range of colours (If you are getting the Fox Factory Kashima upgrade worth checking out the Kash Money colour as it matches perfectly), only 130gr. Will come in black 40mm unless otherwise requested in comments (available in 32mm, 40mm, 50mm)
Deity Copperhead - Our second favourite stem ever (the Industry Nine A35 stem takes top spot) absolutely beautifully machined, light and very smart looking stem avaialble in a few colours (bronze matches Fox Kashima really well). Only 135gr and pairs Deity bars a treat. Will come in black 35mm unless otherwise requested.
OneUP EDC Stem - OneUp EDC STem including their brilliant EDC tool system that fits inside the steerer tube.
Industry Nine A35 Stem - Absolute top end stem, 100% machined in the USA and in loads of lovely colours. Stem wil lcome in black 40mm unless otherwise requested.
Grips
Deity Knuckleduster - A new in-store favourite surpassing the legendary DMR Deathgrip. Really soft and comfy.
DMR Deathgrip Race Edition Thick - Our best selling grip ever. Very soft (not as soft as the Deity though) and great shape.
Ergon GA2 - A more expensive grip but really comfortable especially good for rider's who get numbness/tingling in their palms or fingers.
Seatpost
The following are our most preferred dropper seatpost options.
OneUp Dropper V2 We feel this is the best value vs performance post on the market. Dead easy to adjust and service and great value with a nice remote lever.
Rockshox Reverb 1x - The latest and the best version fo the post that changed the way we ride. We have found the Reverb to be very reliable and durable compared to just about every other make. Now with long service intervals and new vent vaklve to easily and quickly bleed off any air causing some drop in the saddle. The post we spec on our own bikes.
RockShox Reverb AXS - The absolute best featuring wireless actuation and proving very reliable in long-term tests.
Fox Transfer Performance Dropper Post - A great seatpost and favoured by all Fox Racing fans. A reliable and durable cable operated post.
Fox Transfer Factory Dropper post - The Kashima stanchion version of Fox's well regarded dropper post.
BikeYoke Revive 185mm - Ibis spec the BikeYoke post and it has an excellent reputation for durability and a very light action, fine German engineering.
Headset
FSA Orbit - A decent entry level sealed cartridge bearing headset at a decent price.
Cane Creek 40 - A quality USA made well sealed headset.
Hope Stainless - A benchmark for quality - UK made with stainless bearinghs and a reputation only surpassed by Chris King.
Saddle
Ergon SM Sport - Ergon make a great range of saddles with very good comfort utilising Orthopaedic foam and this is their latest mountain bike saddle for trail riding now with cutouts. 305gr
Ergon SM Comp - As above but with additional Orthocell pads and TiNox rails. 270gr
Ergon SM Pro - Utilising Orthopaedic AirCell foam amnd Orthocell pads and TiNox rails. 235gr
Tubeless Valves
At Evo we use quality tubeless rim tape and OrangeSeal sealant in all our Evo Customs builds but can offer the following tubeless valve options
Brass Valves - Standard fitment
Muc-Off Tubeless Valves - A quality light weight alloy tubeless valve in a range of colours.
Milkit Valves - A clever anti clog alloy tubeless valve. Not very good for topping up sealant via the valve.
