If we decided to make an Addict eRIDE it wasn't to make things easier. No, we wanted to make things tougher. To make climbs higher, longer, steeper. To get you out of the house earlier, and back home later. Light, performant, and just as capable at its World Tour sibling, the Addict eRIDE is a revelation for the way you look at cycling. With the proper selection of materials, eighty percent of the work to create a frame is done. But the remaining twenty percent requires a lot of effort. For this reason, Scott chose the most advanced carbon fibres in the market, followed by an intensive use of specific tools, like FEA (finite element analysis) software, to map out the carbon lay-up.

This means Scott can simulate different forces on a virtual model of the frame and adjust its construction accordingly. Evo-Lap technology from Scott models the frame to optimise the surface area, simulate tube structures with different ply orientations, observe the results of using different configurations, and test the stress distribution in different areas of the frame.

The Scott Addict eRide 20 (and the entire range) benefitted from this Evo-Lap technology.
