The Erase MTB Rear Hub is a premium, boutique component from Belgium that has gained a cult following for its clever engineering and "made for life" philosophy. It is often compared to DT Swiss for its reliability, but it distinguishes itself by using a Grade 5 Titanium freehub body as standard—something most brands charge a significant premium for.

The 2025/26 V2 version features a refined ratchet system and improved sealing, making it one of the most resilient hubs for the wet, gritty conditions often found in UK trail centres.

The Erase MTB hub is designed to solve the two most common hub failures: notched freehubs and broken pawls. By using Grade 5 Titanium for the freehub, Erase ensures that your cassette won't bite into the splines over time. The drive system uses a 60-tooth stainless steel ratchet very similar to DT Swiss' time proven Ratchet design, providing a quick 6-degree engagement that is both mechanically simpler and more durable than traditional pawl-based systems

Titanium Freehub Body: Unlike aluminium freehubs that "notch" or steel freehubs that are heavy, titanium offers the perfect balance—it's nearly as light as alloy but as tough as steel.
Hand-Serviceable: The hub can be completely stripped by hand without tools. Simply pull the end caps off to access the ratchet and bearings, making mid-season cleaning a five-minute job.
Large Bearing Architecture: Erase exclusively uses 6900-series TPI bearings (rather than the smaller 6800-series found in some "weight-weenie" hubs). These larger balls and races significantly increase the hub's lifespan under heavy lateral loads.
