The Hope Pro 5 is the highly anticipated evolution of their legendary hub, offering significantly faster engagement, reduced drag, and improved weather sealing compared to the Pro 4. Combining this new hub with the lightweight Fortus 30 SC (Single Cavity) rim creates a performance-oriented, distinctive wheelset, especially with the iconic Purple anodised finish.

The Hope Pro 5 Fortus 30 SC 29in wheelset represents the pinnacle of Hope's trail and enduro offerings, blending their new, hyper-fast hub with a lightweight, high-performance rim. The iconic Purple hubs make a striking visual statement on any bike.

Ultra-Fast Engagement: The Pro 5 uses a new 6-pawl offset system, achieving 108 points of engagement (POE) and a rapid 3.33-degree engagement angle.¹¹ This provides near-instantaneous power transfer, crucial for technical climbing and sprinting out of corners, while the freehub sound is quieter than the Pro 4
Reduced Drag: New low-drag labyrinth seals and an improved bearing layout significantly reduce rolling resistance compared to previous generations, making the Pro 5 faster to coast and pedal.
Serviceability: It retains the legendary Pro reliability with sealed stainless steel cartridge bearings and the ability to easily swap axle standards and driver bodies (HG/XD/Microspline).

Fortus 30 SC Rim

The Fortus 30 SC (Single Cavity) rim is chosen here to complement the Pro 5's fast engagement. Using a Single Cavity profile, the rim achieves a noticeable weight reduction compared to the heavier Fortus 30 W rim, making the wheelset lighter for climbing and accelerating. The 30mm internal width provides optimal support and profile for 2.3in to 2.6in Enduro and Trail tyres.

The wheelset is built with durable Sapim Race double-butted spokes and brass nipples, ensuring maximum lifespan and stiffness.
