Onyx Vesper Hook Flange for BERD spokes - Pair

Onyx Vesper Hook Flange for BERD spokes - Pair

Hook flange is an entirely new method of securing a spoke-to hub shell. This design is proprietary to usage with Berd spokes and removes some of the prebuild procedures for using these spokes.
The flanges are recommended for a 2x or 3x lacing only. Dependent on hub spacing/configuration spoke count configuration is limited

Hook flange Onyx Vesper hubs are available in Centerlock only.

THE DETAIL

This may be your first time hearing about Berd! These unique spokes are made of UHMWPE (Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene).
UHMWPE has 12 times the strength-to-weight ratio of steel and even floats on water! The spokes have an improved fatigue life over steel and are impervious to the elements.
The spokes are similar to standard steel or titanium spoke but feature a loop on the hub end rather than the typical head or J bend.

Each spoke uses a 2.0 (14g) thread and has a small wrench flat to prevent twisting/winding while truing.
