The Reserve 30|HD is the heavy-duty carbon powerhouse of the Reserve range, designed for ASTM Category 4 (Enduro) and Category 5 (Downhill) use. While the "SL" variant focuses on compliance and weight, the 30|HD prioritises lateral stiffness and impact resistance for aggressive gravity riding and e-MTB applications.

The integration of the DT Swiss 350 DEG and the DEG DF (Degrees of Freedom) system provides a mechanical solution to pedal kickback directly within the hub.

The Reserve 30|HD is engineered to be "overbuilt." It features a deeper 20mm profile compared to the SL, providing the structural bracing needed for high-speed cornering and heavy impacts. The rim utilises an asymmetric design to balance spoke tension and reinforced "square" sections around the spoke holes to prevent pull-through under extreme loads.

The DT Swiss DEG & DF System

  • DT 350 DEG (Standard): This hub utilises a massive 90T Ratchet DEG system, providing an ultra-fast 4-degree engagement. It is designed with an oversized ratchet diameter to increase the contact patch, significantly improving reliability under high torque.

  • DT 350 DEG DF (Degrees of Freedom): This version includes a specialised ratchet and thread ring kit that allows the hub to float before engaging. You can manually adjust the "float" to 0-degree, 10-degree, or 20-degree by simply pulling the freehub body and realigning the internal ratchet. This isolates the suspension's chain growth from the cranks, providing a "chainless" feel on descents.
