Tenways CGO800 Plus Urban E-Bike

The Tenways CGO800 Plus is the "Pro" version of Tenways' popular step-through platform. The most significant change is the move from a single-speed belt drive to a Shimano Claris 8-speed chain drivetrain. This gives the rider a much wider gear range, making it far more capable on the moderate inclines and flyovers found in many UK cities.

Power and Range Upgrades

To support the extra effort required for climbing, Tenways has swapped the motor for their in-house C9 hub motor, which boosts torque to 45Nm. This is paired with a 475.2Wh battery (a 27% increase over the standard 800S), ensuring that even with the extra weight and gear changes, you still achieve a reliable 100km range. The bike maintains its signature comfort with a suspension fork and an upright riding posture.

The Tenways CGO800 Plus is the 2025/2026 upgrade to the CGO800S, specifically redesigned for riders who need more versatility for hilly terrain. While the "S" model focuses on flat-land simplicity with a belt drive, the Plus introduces a geared drivetrain and a significantly larger battery to tackle urban slopes with ease

Choosing Between Models

If your commute is entirely flat and you want a grease-free, ultra-low maintenance life, stick with the CGO800S. However, if you have any significant hills on your route or plan to carry heavier groceries on the rear rack, the CGO800 Plus is the superior choice due to its mechanical gears and higher torque motor.
