Our shop can cater to pretty much any of your servicing and repair needs on all types of bicycles, regardless of how old or expensive. With our experience and extensive tooling, our shop can carry out jobs in the most time-efficient manner and, therefore, at the best value for you. We also do a lot of wheel builds.

Servicing – From £40* (Hourly rate £65 including VAT)
Maintaining your bike so it is always running optimally will give you the best cycling experience with the minimal amount of breakdowns and, therefore, your best value for money from your bike purchase. We recommend at least an annual service or bi-annual for high usage bikes.
With such a diverse range of bike styles, from super simple hub gear commuter/hybrid bikes to multi-link full suspension electric mountain bikes, fixed menu servicing doesn't meet the need. Our shop offers a free assessment of your bike to determine the correct work level to suit you and a no-obligation quote before we proceed. Whether your bike is a well-cared-for low mileage leisure machine or a high mileage workhorse, our shop will tailor the work to your bike.
Sorry, no routine servicing at weekends.
As a busy shop with a large client base, we prefer to spend the weekends keeping customers riding with emergency pit stop repairs, therefore we do not perform routine service work at the weekend.
Repairs - From £20* (Hourly rate £65 including VAT)
Rattle, creak, twang, squelch, screech, snap, we can fix most of them. As with our servicing, our shop is happy to offer a free assessment and quote for your repairs, but everything from a puncture to a wheel rebuild onto a new rim is within our scope.
Charged at our hourly workshop rate of £65 per hour or part thereof – minimum labour charge of £20 (£8 for inner tube replacement).
*Excludes parts and lubricants
Wheel Builds
We do a lot of wheel builds and have got a pretty good reputation for it, so our shop has lots of stock of rims, spokes, nipples, etc.
Servicing Tips:
Road/Gravel bikes – We find these are always worth getting fresh bar tape fitted with a service – it really makes a difference in comfort and feel. We highly recommend Lizard Skins tape. Bikes with hydraulic brakes benefit from annual fluid changes.
Mountain bikes – These see some hard use in often the worst conditions our climate has to offer, plus are often subjected to very high-pressure cleaning or none at all, so we highly recommend considering getting suspension units serviced in accordance with manufacturers' guidelines (at least every 12 months) and frame pivot bearings on full suspension models need frame bearings changed periodically.
Cleaning and Maintenance –
“Servicing is too expensive” – May we introduce you to Muc-off’s excellent range of cleaning kits. With some timely correct cleaning and lubrication, modern bikes are very durable and reliable. Clean lubricated parts run smoother and quieter, for less energy expended and last longer, saving you money. And try to avoid high-pressure washing – the water gets into everything!
MUC-OFF - We are glad to partner with UK cleaning and lubrication supremos Muc-Off, who offer a fantastic range of products and some great informational videos on bike cleaning and maintenance here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UerkyiRYnh4.
