The Oso Frameset allows you to define the bike's personality. By utilizing a common front triangle, Ibis has simplified the ownership experience. Whether you want a snappy 130mm "sport" bike for tight, rolling singletrack or a 165mm enduro-sled for alpine bike parks, the frame remains identical. The modularity is achieved through bolt-on dropouts and interchangeable shock/clevis configurations, giving you complete control over chainstay length and wheel size (29" or MX).

The 2026 Ibis Oso Frameset (also referred to as the Oso Modular Power Platform) is the heartbeat of Ibis's new e-MTB lineup. Rather than selling distinct frames for different travel lengths, Ibis has engineered a single, highly adaptable chassis that allows you to configure your bike as an S (130mm), TR (150mm), or HD (165mm) machine simply by swapping the shock, clevis, and fork.

This is not a "bare" frameset in the traditional sense; it includes the Bosch CX Gen 5 motor, the 600Wh internal battery, and the shock. It is the ultimate "blank canvas" for a custom e-MTB build.

DW-Link Kinematics: The frame uses Ibis’s legendary twin-link suspension. It is specifically tuned to handle the high-torque, constant-power delivery of the Bosch motor, keeping the rear wheel glued to the dirt on technical, loose climbs.
Modular Dropouts: The frameset ships with your choice of dropouts, allowing you to tweak the chainstay length (440mm–465mm) to suit your riding style—shorter for pop and agility, longer for stability at speed.
Bosch CX Gen 5 System: Included as part of the "frameset" package, you receive the latest, quietest, and most responsive Bosch drive unit, ensuring you start your build with the industry's best power-assist technology.
600Wh Internal Battery: Ibis has opted for this "Goldilocks" battery capacity—it provides ample range for 90% of rides while keeping the bike's centre of gravity low and the overall weight manageable.
Future-Proof Dropper Support: The uninterrupted seat tube design maximizes insertion depth, meaning you can fit a 210mm dropper post on almost any size frame.
PowerMore Ready: The frame is fully pre-wired and mounting-ready for the Bosch PowerMore 250Wh range extender, bringing your total capacity to 850Wh for those rare, ultra-long wilderness days.
The "Personality" Choice: If you are building this up, your shock/clevis choice is critical.
- S: Uses the shortest clevis/shock (230 x 57.5mm}).
- TR: Uses the mid-length (230 x 60mm).
- HD: Uses the longest (230 x 65mm).
Cable Routing: As this uses a ZS56 headset, you have space to route your light cables (if running a Lupine or similar) directly through the frame, keeping your cockpit exceptionally clean.
Dropouts: Don't feel you have to "choose" your wheel size forever. If you buy the 29" setup but find yourself wanting more room on steep descents later, you can buy the MX (Mullet) dropouts separately and swap them in under 20 minutes.
