Paired with a master cylinder made from Magura's proprietary Carbotecture, the Gustav Pro provides a defined, consistent lever feel that remains predictable, ride after ride.

Built to resist brake fade, the Gustav Pro is a master of heat dissipation. When paired with the optional Magura MDR-S 2.5mm thick rotors, the system’s greater mass and volume (including 40% more brake pad volume) ensure that the brakes stay in their optimal temperature range for longer, even on the most relentless descents. You can ride harder and brake later, knowing your brakes will not let you down.
Simplified Maintenance & Technology:
Magura has designed the Gustav Pro for riders who want to spend more time on the trail and less time in the workshop. The innovative Easy Link system allows for tool-free hose connection and disconnection, simplifying internal routing. A larger reservoir doubles the time between bleeds, and the improved bleed valve makes servicing easier than ever.
Intended Use: The new Gustav Pro is specifically designed for E-MTB, Gravity, Downhill, and SUV bikes. It is built to handle the immense weight and forces associated with these types of bikes.
Performance: It delivers the perfect combination of power, stability, and control. It offers 4-piston callipers with large 19mm pistons that create a well-defined pressure point and outstanding modulation. It is marketed as being even more powerful than the MT7.
Heat Management: It is designed to be highly resistant to fading. It uses extra-thick 2.5mm rotors (like the MDR-S I previously described) and features 40% more brake pad volume than the MT7. This mass and volume help dissipate heat and maintain consistent performance.
Maintenance & Technology: A key feature is the "Easy Link" system, which allows for quick, tool-free connection and disconnection of the brake hose. It also has a larger reservoir to double the time between maintenance intervals, and an improved bleed valve for easy servicing. The master cylinder is made from "Carbotecture" and the caliper is a one-piece forged aluminium design.
