The Reserve 34|37 SL represents the absolute limit of what is possible while maintaining a "No Rider Weight Limit" and a lifetime warranty. By using an advanced SL carbon layup, Reserve shaved 30g per rim (60g total) compared to the standard 34|37. These rims are then laced to Tune’s Pico hubs, which were purpose-built in Germany specifically to align with the unique offset of Reserve’s spoke holes.

Carbon Spoke Technology

The defining feature is the use of Vonoa bladed carbon spokes. These are not just lighter than steel; they are significantly stiffer, providing a "snappy" acceleration that is immediately noticeable when attacking on steep gradients. Because the Tune Pico hubs are machined to match the rim's ERD perfectly, the spokes remain straight and under perfectly balanced tension, eliminating the "creaking" sometimes associated with early carbon spoke designs.

Shop Build Note: Carbon Spoke Care

Trueing: Despite being carbon, Vonoa spokes are adjustable. Reserve includes a specialised tool and spare spokes in the box. However, because carbon doesn't "stretch" like steel, these wheels rarely go out of true once set.
Tyre Choice: To maintain the 1,140g weight advantage, most pro mechanics pair these with a 28 Vittoria Corsa Pro Speed. The 22.8mm internal front width provides a very aerodynamic profile for such a light wheel.
Hub Maintenance: The Tune Pico hubs share internal parts with the Tune Nano range, making bearings and seals easy to source despite the hub's "limited edition" status.
