ENVE MOG

​The MOG (a noun, verb, and state of mind, according to ENVE) is a purpose-built gravel machine. It features a lightweight carbon layup that prioritises zone-specific stiffness and vertical compliance. The standout feature is the Cargo Bay, an integrated downtube storage system that comes with two neoprene bags to house tools, spares, or a lightweight jacket, keeping your jersey pockets empty for long-range missions.

The ENVE MOG is the definitive "modern gravel" chassis, designed to be as fast as a road race bike on the straights while remaining capable of tackling technical singletrack. Unlike traditional framesets, ENVE sells the MOG as a "Chassis," which includes the frame, fork, headset, and your choice of ENVE handlebar, stem, and seatpost to ensure a perfect fit from day one.

It is famously "700c Maximalist," with geometry specifically tuned for high-volume 700c tyres, effectively eliminating the need for 650b wheels.

Integrated Performance

• IN-Route System: All hoses and cables are routed internally through the bar, stem, and headset. This provides a clean, rattle-free aesthetic and a small aerodynamic advantage without sacrificing drivetrain compatibility (1x or 2x, mechanical or electronic).

• Massive Clearance: Designed around a 50mm maximum tyre width, the MOG is optimised for 40mm--44mm tyres. This allows you to run lower pressures for maximum traction on chunky UK bridleways.

• Tuned Handling: ENVE uses three different fork rakes across the six frame sizes. This ensures that a rider on a 49cm frame experiences the same responsive handling and "toe-overlap" clearance as someone on a 60cm frame.

• Chassis Concept: Because the cockpit (bars/stem/post) is included and chosen à la carte, you aren't stuck with "standard" sizes. You can specify a wide flared Gravel Bar or a narrow SES AR bar, depending on your riding style.

The SR Allroad Core Pro bridge the gap between a stiff road racing saddle and a plush touring seat. The Easton Microfibre tape is built for longevity. Unlike foam-based tapes that can tear or "flake" over time, the microfibre surface is incredibly abrasion-resistant. It features an adhesive gel backing rather than a traditional glue strip, which serves two purposes: it adds a layer of vibration damping and allows the tape to be unwrapped and re-wrapped if you need to adjust your cable housing.

The Mavic Allroad S Disc is the aluminium workhorse of Mavic’s gravel range. While it lacks the carbon rims of the "S Carbon," it features Mavic’s most advanced alloy technologies, most notably Fore Tapeless Tubeless technology.

This is a "fit and forget" wheelset, designed for riders who want the reliability of an alloy rim with the high-end engagement of Mavic’s professional-grade hubs.

The Allroad S is crafted from Mavic's proprietary Maxtal aluminium, which offers a higher strength-to-weight ratio than standard 6061 alloy. The current 2025/26 version has been widened to a 25mm internal width, making it perfectly suited for modern gravel tyres and providing a stable, "square" tyre profile that improves cornering traction.

Key Technical Advantages

• Fore Technology: Instead of drilling the rim to install spokes, the lower rim bridge is pushed up and threaded. This means the upper rim bridge stays intact, making the rim stiffer and—crucially—completely airtight. No rim tape is required, saving weight and eliminating the hassle of tape failures.

• Instant Drive 360 (ID360): Shares the same high-end dual-ratchet system as the carbon models, providing 40 points of engagement (9-degree). It is exceptionally reliable and can be serviced by hand without specialist tools.

• SUP Welding: The rim joint is arc-welded and then milled for a seamless finish. This provides superior wheel balance and eliminates the "hop" sometimes found in pinned alloy rims.

• Infinity Hub Platform: Optimises spoke tension and lacing to ensure the wheel remains laterally stiff under heavy pedalling loads while allowing for vertical compliance over rough terrain.

The ENVE Hex (or HEX) is a newly released gravel tyre designed to bridge the gap between a fast-rolling road tyre and a high-traction off-road tyre. It features a unique "cat tongue" tread pattern inspired by the surface texture of a cat's tongue—with slightly ramped, directional hexagonal blocks that provide high braking and driving traction without increasing rolling resistance.

It is designed to be the perfect companion for ENVE's own G-Series and SES wheelsets, focusing on speed and "all-rounder" performance in mixed-to-dry conditions.

The ENVE Hex utilises a nano-particle-enhanced rubber compound originally developed for their SES Race Day road tyres. This provides a supple ride quality while significantly reducing rolling resistance on hard-pack surfaces. The tread pattern is "decoupled," meaning the individual hex blocks can flex independently to conform to uneven terrain, maintaining grip even when the ground is loose.

Technology & Terrain

• Cat-Tongue Tread: The tiny hexagonal lugs are slightly ramped for speed but have a sharp backside. This provides a "mechanical lock" when braking or climbing steep, loose slopes, much like the sandpaper-like texture of a cat's tongue.

• Hookless Optimised: Designed specifically for modern hookless (TSS) rims. It features a high-modulus Kevlar bead and a reinforced "chafer strip" at the bead to prevent air leaks and protect the tyre against the rim edge during impacts.

• Carapace Protection: The tyre features a sub-tread puncture barrier to protect against thorns and glass, along with a "pinch-flat bumper" near the bead to reduce the risk of snake-bite flats when running low pressures.

• Scaled Tread: The size of the hexagonal blocks is scaled based on the tyre width—so the 48mm version has slightly larger lugs than the 40mm version to maintain consistent handling characteristics.
