The DT Swiss Ratchet DEG DF kit is the ultimate tuning tool for full-suspension riders, particularly those on high-pivot or long-travel Enduro and Downhill bikes. By replacing the standard internal components of a Ratchet DEG hub, this kit introduces "Degrees of Freedom," allowing you to choose how much the hub "floats" before the teeth lock together.

Suspension Freedom & Drivetrain Silence

Pedal kickback occurs when suspension compression pulls on the chain, which is resisted by the hub's engagement. The DF kit solves this by providing up to 20 degrees of free movement. This allows your rear suspension to track the ground with significantly more sensitivity and reduces the "tugging" sensation at your feet in rough terrain.

The DT Swiss Ratchet DEG DF (Degrees of Freedom) upgrade kit is a specialised high-performance system designed for the 2026 mountain bike season. Tool-Free Adjustment: Once the initial threaded ring is installed, you can swap between the 0-degree, 10-degree, and 20-degree settings in seconds by simply pulling the freehub body off—no tools required.
90-Tooth Performance: The standard MTB kit includes high-performance 90T ratchets, providing a lightning-fast 4-degree engagement angle when set to the 0-degree (standard) position.
Weight Neutral: Unlike mechanical anti-kickback devices like the Ochain, the DEG DF system adds no weight to your bike, as it simply replaces your bike's existing hub internals with lighter, optimised parts.
Hybrid/eMTB Version: A dedicated "Hybrid" version is available with a reinforced 60T ratchet and two settings (0 ° and 10°) to handle the increased torque of mid-drive motors.
