Industry Nine Solix Gravel X System Wheelset
The Solix Gravel X is built for the "drop-bar mountain biker." It combines the high-efficiency Solix G hub system with the GRCX alloy rim, creating a wheelset that is significantly tougher than standard road-derived gravel wheels. It is designed to be paired with big tyres, dropper posts, and the extra weight of bikepacking bags.
Adventure-Proven Chassis
The Solix G chassis uses 24 straight-pull aluminium spokes that thread directly into the hub flange. This system eliminates the traditional "elbow" of a J-bend spoke, creating a wheel that is both lighter and laterally stiffer. The 24.5mm internal width is the "sweet spot" for modern adventure tyres, providing ample volume for everything from fast 40c racing rubber to massive 2.1" mountain bike tyres.
The Industry Nine Solix Gravel X (often identified as the Solix G GRCX) is the "rugged" member of the Solix drop-bar family. While the Solix SL series focuses on road aerodynamics and ultra-low weight, the Solix G range is designed for the rough reality of "chunky" gravel, backcountry expeditions, and adventure riding.
Customsiation through Industry Nine's Anolab:
Because this is a System wheel, you have access to the full Ano Lab suite. Black hub and spokes is the base price default, adding colours incurs upgrade costs. Simply go to the Anolab here and build your preferred wheelset. Add it to theIndustry Nine cart and it will tell you what Level of customisation it is (level1,2 or 3 - see below).

System Wheels have 3 levels of customisation:
Level 1 - Up to 8 spokes of a different colour
Level 2 - Any colour hub (instead of standard black) and as many matching spokes as you like (i.e any mix of black and the colour) that matches the hubshell
Level 3 - Any mix of colour hub and spokes you like all the way up to rainbow pattern!
Our Wheelbuilders opinion:
The Solix SL (SuperLite) series is for the gravel racer who stays on well-graded paths and wants the absolute lowest weight. The Solix Gravel X is for the rider who ends up on singletrack, deep-forest fire roads, or multi-day expeditions. With its wider rim and reinforced construction, it offers much better protection against rim damage and "burping" tyres when pressures are dropped for maximum traction.
