Schwalbe Shredda Front Gravity Pro Radial Tyre

The Schwalbe Shredda Front isn't just a new tread; it's a new way for a tyre to interact with the earth. By utilising a Radial carcass—where the threads run at an obtuse angle (90°)—the tyre becomes far more supple under impact. This allows the massive 10mm shoulder knobs to "suck" into the ground, conforming to obstacles instead of bouncing off them.

Motocross-Inspired Traction

The tread pattern is unashamedly aggressive, featuring a repeating 2-2 block layout with significant spacing to instantly clear mud. This "meaty" design is specifically tuned for the front wheel to provide maximum braking traction and steering precision in soft or "sopping wet" conditions. When paired with the Addix Ultra Soft compound, it offers a "slurpy," dampened feel that keeps the bike planted on even the most chaotic trails.

The Shredda Front is a specialised tool. Because of the incredible height of the knobs and the suppleness of the radial casing, it can feel "squirmy" on hard-packed fire roads or tarmac. It is best reserved for soft dirt, mud, and loam. For the ultimate "gravity" setup, pair this with a Shredda Rear Gravity Pro to ensure your back wheel has the same "scooping" power on steep climbs.
