The Solix Whisp is a collaborative masterpiece between Industry Nine and We Are One Composites. It uses the Whisp rim—a lighter, XC-focused evolution of the Convergence technology—to deliver a wheelset that is exceptionally fast to accelerate while maintaining the "quiet" and damped ride feel that We Are One is known for.
Convergence Whisp Technology
The Whisp rim utilizes a 7.5° angular profile and articulated nipple holes to ensure perfect spoke alignment. This reduces fatigue on the spoke-rim interface, allowing the wheel to be built with very high tension for a responsive feel without sacrificing long-term durability. The ZRT composite layup is specifically tuned to be "reactive," giving you a noticeable energy return when sprinting out of corners.
The Industry Nine Solix Whisp represents the ultra-lightweight pinnacle of the 2026 cross-country and marathon range. It combines the efficiency of the Solix hub platform with the specialized We Are One Whisp carbon rim.

Our Wheelbuilders Opinion:
The Solix XC is for the pure weight-weenie racer who wants the absolute lightest wheel possible (often sub-1400g). However, the Solix Whisp is the better "daily driver" for those who ride their XC bikes aggressively. The 29mm internal width of the Whisp supports wider tyres better and the Convergence rim technology provides a much tougher rim that can handle occasional "Downcountry" abuse that might crack a pure XC racing rim.
