This rim is a reinforced version of the Convergence series, specifically tuned for the extreme forces of World Cup Downhill racing and freeride use.

"The Deal" rim features a unique laminate layup that adds reinforced carbon material at critical impact zones. While it shares the "sinuous" wavy profile of the Convergence series—which helps align the spokes to reduce fatigue—the internal structure is significantly thicker than the trail-oriented models. This results in a wheel that can survive the square-edge hits and G-outs typical of elite-level racing while maintaining the 0.41-de3grees "telepathic" engagement of the Hydra 2 platform.

"The Deal" is the wheelset you choose when reliability is the only metric that matters. While lighter carbon wheels exist, the combination of steel spokes and the reinforced Convergence rim makes this one of the most compliant gravity wheels available. It tracks incredibly well through technical ruts and dissipates the "harshness" often associated with carbon DH wheels, allowing you to hold a line with less physical effort.
