Schwalbe Albert Trail Pro Radial TLR E-50 Tyre
The Schwalbe Albert Trail Pro utilises a specialised Radial carcass where the threads are arranged at a 90-degree angle rather than the traditional 45-degree diagonal. This allows the tyre to deform much more selectively. In practice, this means the tyre "sucks" into the ground, conforming to roots and jagged rocks with far less deflection, resulting in a significantly more composed ride.
By using the Trail Pro casing (which typically uses three layers of material instead of the Gravity Pro's four), Schwalbe has shed roughly 150g per tyre. This makes the Albert Trail Pro much better suited to long days in the saddle and technical climbs, where rotational weight is more noticeable. Despite the lighter build, it remains E-50 certified, meaning it is robust enough for high-torque e-MTB use.
The Schwalbe Albert Trail Pro Radial is the lighter, more agile sibling to the Gravity Pro, designed for riders who want the revolutionary grip of a radial carcass without the heavy weight penalty of a full downhill casing, it has become the "Goldilocks" tyre for high-end trail and enduro bikes, offering a supple ride that virtually "erases" small trail chatter while maintaining the support needed for aggressive cornering.
Adaptive Radial Carcass: Provides a 30% increase in contact area at the same pressure, allowing the tyre to act as a secondary suspension component.
Balanced Tread Pattern: Features a repeating 3-2 knob layout that provides a predictable transition from centre to edge, inspired by the high-traction Tacky Chan.
Addix Soft Compound: Optimised for all-weather grip. It provides consistent damping and traction in the wet while maintaining decent rolling speed for trail duties.
Siped Knob Design: Every tread block is heavily siped (slotted), allowing individual sections of the knob to flex and bite into the terrain independently.
E-Bike Ready (E-50): Meets the European ECE-R75 standard for fast S-pedelecs, ensuring safety and durability at speeds up to 50 km/h.
